Access all areas of the Tamar Trails!  

Countryside Mobility is a scheme which enables easy access to the South West’s beauty spots and is available here at Tree Surfers . Tramper all-terrain mobility scooters are available to hire for people with limited mobility and for a small fee and a short training session you are able to explore agreed Tramper routes and visit other participating sites across the South West. John Ladlow from Gulworthy was the first person to try out the Tramper on the Tamar Trails.  John said: “I tried out this vehicle last week and was able to go on all the multi use tracks throughout the trails. It is robust enough to tackle even the steeper tracks and felt very safe.
This means that people with walking problems can get to see all that the trails have to offer”.

Hiring the Tramper

Treesurfers charges £2.50 an hour to use the Tramper.

To hire the Tramper you must become a member of Countryside Mobility first; there are two options for this.

Option one: Temporary membership which costs £2.50 and will last for 4 weeks giving access to all tramper sites.

or

Option Two: A yearly membership costing £10

Please remember when signing up as a new member there are a few forms for you to fill in and a training session to be carried out. We therefore ask you contact Tree Surfers in Advance to arrange a suitable time.

We will also need to see at least one form of ID and ideally people need to bring a passport photo for their membership card. For existing members they just need to display their membership card and sign a hire form.

Countryside mobility also asks that people who want to hire the tramper go out accompanied.
